About Highworth Pre-School

Other Information Highworth Pre-School was set up in 1967 by a group of parents supported by a local teacher. Highworth Pre-School is situated in a purpose built building room, with three dedicated playrooms, two enclosed outdoor areas and a woodland area giving ample space for indoor and outdoor play. Sessions are available between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. Monday - Friday 2+ Sessions in the Yellow Teddy Bear Room: These sessions are provided for 2 year olds with a ratio of 1 qualified staff member to 4 children. 3+ Sessions in the Blue and Red Teddy Bear Room: These sessions are provided for 3 and 4 year olds with a ratio of 1 adult to 8 children From the term after their 3rd birthday all children receive government funding for either 15 or 30 hours per week. In line with the government policy we give you the opportunity to access your child's funding in a flexible way.

Many Funding Options are available at Highworth Pre-School 30 Hour Funding 30 hours childcare for three and four year olds is now available for many working families. In line with the government policy we give you the opportunity to access your child's 30 hours funding in a flexible way between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. To check your eligibility for 30 hour funding please visit the Childcare Choices website: www.childcarechoices.gov.uk 3 and 4 Year Old Funding for ALL children: All Children are entitled 15 hours free childcare per week from the term after their 3rd birthday. Childen born January, February, March - FUNDING STARTS APRIL Childen born April, May, June, July, August - FUNDING STARTS SEPTEMBER Childen born Sept., Oct., Nov., Dec. - FUNDING STARTS JANUARY Tax Free Childcare Scheme The Government is also introducing a new Tax Free Childcare scheme which is available to all working parents to use for the payment of childcare costs regardless of a child’s age. You can now find an explanation of all government childcare support on the new Childcare Choices website: www.childcarechoices.gov.uk Childcare Vouchers Highworth Pre-School is already set up with numerous childcare voucher organisations, please check with Carol Jessett for details. 2 Year Old Funding: Sessions are available between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. Monday - Friday Your child may be eligible if you meet some of the criteria including Income Support, Child Tax Credit or based on your earnings.
